The conversions on mltooz.org are here for general reference and everyday convenience. This page explains where their limits are.
Not professional advice
A converter is a calculator, not an expert. Nothing here is medical, legal, financial, or engineering advice. If a decision depends on getting the number exactly right, and the stakes are real, run it past a qualified professional as well.
Accuracy and rounding
Results are rounded for readability, so a figure on screen may differ from the full-precision value by a tiny amount. The exact factors we use are one US fluid ounce = 29.5735 mL and one Imperial fluid ounce = 28.4131 mL, drawn from NIST Special Publication 811. When a result has to be exact, work from those factors directly.
Pick the right ounce
A US fluid ounce and an Imperial (UK) fluid ounce aren't the same size, and the tool lets you choose between them, so make sure the one you've picked matches your source. And remember these are fluid ounces, a measure of volume; converting to weight also depends on what the liquid is.
Use at your own risk
We take care to get the conversions right and we cite recognized standards, but we can't guarantee a result fits your exact case, and we aren't responsible for decisions made on the basis of what the tool shows.
